International Symposium on Agricultural Meteorology 2026

ISAM2026 and Japanese Society of Agricultural Meteorology 2026 Annual Meeting (SAMJ2026) will be held on 17-19 March, 2026 at Tsukuba University, Tsukuba Campus Kasuga Area.

Registration for Participation and Payment

  • All participants of the conference (regardless of whether they will make a presentation or not) are required to complete the registration process via the site below.
  • Registration Site (External System)

Step 1: Create an Account of A-Pass (formerly Confit account)

  • This conference uses the “Confit registration system” for participation and presentation submissions. If you do not have an existing Confit account, please click the “Create a new account” button on the login page. Enter your email address and password, complete the account registration following the email with the verification code, and register your profile information such as contact details.

Step 2: Registration for participation

  • Log in to your My Page, read the agreements, check “Agree”, then click the “Registration” button. Select your membership type, attendance status for the banquet, and method of payment.
  • After completing your registration, you will receive a registration confirmation email stating the total fee.

Step 3: Payment

  • You can pay the participation fee using either “Credit Card” or “Bank Transfer”.
  • Click the “Confirm and Proceed to Payment” button on the registration confirmation page or the “\ Online Payment” button under your Registration Info in My Page to complete the payment process.
  • After payment is processed, you will receive a payment confirmation email.
  • Please note: This system calculates fees based on your registration date. If you register during the early bird discount period, payment must be made by February 2, 2026.

Step 4:Download of receipt

  • Once payment is complete, you can download your receipt from the “Download” section of your Registration Info on your My Page.
  • Please also refer to the support information for Confit users, though in Japanese only.

Additional Information Regarding Fees

  • For credit card payments, a one-time password will be sent to the email address or phone number registered with your credit card. Please have this ready before proceeding with the payment.
  • “Bank Transfer” is a virtual account service “Aozora”, where a unique account number is assigned to each sender. For bank transfers, please note that transfer fees are the responsibility of the sender.
  • Refunds for paid conference participation fees and banquet fees are generally not possible.
  • No complimentary meals will be provided by the conference organizing committee at the conference venue.
  • Registraton fee and banquet fee are subject to taxation for both members and non-members (prices shown include tax).
  • The organizing body of this conference, the “Japanese Society of Agricultural Meteorology 2026 Annual Meeting Organizing Committee,” is a tax-exempt entity. It is also not a qualified invoice issuer.
  • If you require an invoice for your participation fee, you can download it from the “Download” section of your Registration Info on your My Page.
  • The registration desk during the conference will generally not handle cash transactions. For on-site registration, participation registration (payment) and receipt issuance will be handled online via the “Confit registration system”.

Registration for Presentation and Abstract Submission

  • Note that: Presentation registrations become available after completing your “Registration for Participation”. Please complete your “Registration for Participation” first.
  • Non-members may also present, but at least one author must be a member of this society. We encourage you to take this opportunity to join our society.

Step 1: Registration for Presentation (by January 13, 2026, 17:00)

  • Log in to your My Page. In the “Abstract Submission” section, read the agreements, then check “Agree”. Click the “New Registration” button to display the presentation registration page.
  • The input pages span multiple pages. Please enter the following information sequentially: Affiliations of Authors, Authors Details, Presentation Information (Category, Conference to present, Poster Award Application, Title, Keywords, etc.).
  • After your confirmation of the registration, click the “Submit” button to complete. You will receive a confirmation email with Submission No.

Step 2: Abstract Upload (January 14, 2026 – February 2, 2026, 17:00)

  • (If you wish to submit your abstract before January 14, 2026, please email to samj2026@ml.affrc.go.jp and provide your Submissoin No. and Title.)
  • Log in to your My Page. In the “Abstract Submission” section, your Presentation Registration Status is “Final Submission”, where read the agreements, then check “Agree” and click the “Final Submission”.
  • Upload your abstract in pdf file and click the “Next Confirmation” button.
  • The template of the abstract is here.
  • After your confirmation of the uploaded abstract, click the “Submit” button to complete.
  • You will receive a confirmation email.

Modifications of presentation information and abstracts

  • Presentation information (Step 1) and abstract (Step 2) can be modified multiple times during the period before the respective deadline.
  • Presentation Information Deadline: January 13, 2026, 17:00
  • Abstract Upload Deadline: February 2, 2026, 17:00

Eligibility for the Young Scientist Poster Award

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Students, postdoctoral researchers, fixed-term researchers, and other non-permanent researchers.
  2. Regular members of SAMJ aged 30 or younger (including those in permanent positions).
